Does anyone know about this brand of guitars and more importantly has anyone played one of their LP Custom replicas?

I'm looking at a couple of examples:

http://en.item.rakuten.com/apollon/301-fgn-nclc20r/

and

http://en.item.rakuten.com/apollon/301-fgn-nclc10r/

As one of the factories that made Orvilles and OBGs as far as I can make out the only difference between the nclc20r and nclc10r is the fact that the more expensive model has US pick-ups - SDs in fact - and the cheaper model has domestic JP pus...

Any thoughts on these guitars would be very welcome - particularly as to how they might stack up to 2009 Tokai and Burny MIJ LPCs...

Thanks,

John.

I can't help you myself, but I'm interested in these guitars as well, they look pretty nice and the retail prices on some of them are pretty big money.

Also Fujigen has some of the 200+ year old wood from the bottom of rivers that has been found in recent times. They call it Timeless Timber, and you get it on some models with higher prices (approaching 200,000 yen or more).

Yes, the ones I put the links to aren't of the historic timber series but still appear to be priced $300-$400 over 2009 Burny & Tokai LP Custom models so I'm naturally curious as to why the premium...

John.

They also make the "History" brand as well. A regular over on HC has one or two of those and he says they are fantastic guitars. Probably on the level of the best Edwards or maybe a step up.

I would love to have one of the timeless timber ones. Who knows if it makes any difference but having 200+++ year old maple from the bottom of the great lakes would be cool!

Looks like an Elitist headstock. Nice Fugi Gen plain top. Has anyone ever bought from Rakuten?

These Signature brand gutars were made by Fugigen and are superb.I`ve got an STR 1 HB L.P. and it` as good as a higher end Tokai. They sometimes come up on e bay for silly money as not many people know about them,so keep an eye out for them. Gabe.

Here`s one for sale now,Gabe.
Yup thats my guitar and its an absolute steal at that price
The reason im selling it that cheap is i managed to damage the finish of the headstock when putting in the autotrim tuners.
Im selling off some stuff to fund a some gas

When i replaced the machineheads i damaged the thick finish, its purely cosmetic and there no structural damaged to the wood, The pic looks much worse than it actually is
