On the market again 2/25/09:

Time to reduce the herd a bit. The following guitar is an excellent example of MIJ '80's Les Paul copying. This guitar is an excellent value.

The EGF-850 is of the highest model group called Super Real.
'59 Les Paul style w/ chunky neck in excellent condition for a 29 year old guitar.
Original pickups missing one cover ... for that Jimmy Page look.
Mild flame veneer top - standard on EGF-850's.
Fret edge binding indicative of higher-end models.
Big, chunky neck. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard.
Black/yellow period HSC.
Available for $1,175.00 w/ case shipped in CONUS only. Payment via U.S. Postal Money Orders only.
Contact me via PM, email, or cell. I travel a lot during the day and my cell is always available.

Nice guitar.. but there are higher models like the EGF-1000, EG-1000C, EGF-1200 and the EGF-1800 all Super Real Models made for the year 1980..

Good Luck !!

The only difference between an 850 and a 1000 were the dimarzio pickups in the 1000's, personally I think the PU-2's are a lot better. Also this EGF850 has a braz board, only found on the earlier 850's, after that they were Indian, and a 2-piece back where a lot of the later 850's and 1000's were three.

This guitar is back on the market. Marked down a full $200. That's a good bit less than I paid for it.

This is really a wonderful guitar. Come get her!

and the flames on the 1000 generally tend to be more intense in my experience...
