Double Trick pickups

Hi,

can anyone tell me about "Double Trick 1982" pickups?

I am getting a Greco EGC68-80 Custom soon and the pickups that are standard with these are the "Double Trick 1982".

What can I expect with these pups? Are they good, bad or indifferent?

Are they well respected or not?

I do not have any personal experience with them, but all of the high-end Greco pickups are generally very, very good. The Double Trick was #2 in the lineup, behind only the Dry model. I would imagine you'll be surprised how nice they sound.

Interesting. Wikipedia has them flip flopped then... **** internet.

The groove pickups came in the 58-100 model and the double trick in the 68-80.
Wikipeadia is full of useless info....i NEVER use it as a reference..... :wink:

I have a set in a 82' EG59-70. Tight bottom, nice clarity. They don't add alot of color to the tone. There pretty low resistance 7.2k each. There decent but, I wish the bridge pup was a little more powerful.

old thread but a correction is in order here and Ryan C is correct

1982 Greco catalog info shows the following price for one (replacement) pickup

Dry = 20,000 yen
Double Trick = 18,000 yen
The Groove = 16,000 yen
Screamin' = 14,000 yen
