Can anyone identify the pickups in my 1981 ES100j?

Hi
does anyone out there know what these pickups are that are in my newly aquired ES100j from 1981?

I did a search on the Patent number (2737842) stamped on the them and it came up as a patent for the Gibson bridge/tailpiece from 1952, which is a bit wierd!

Also can anyone confirm that these caps are standard issue on an '81 ES100, they are mich bigger then theose in my ES130 from 2008.

thanks Mick for your help, very interesting article. Initially I was a bit miffed that the pickups were not the original Tokai jazz ones but the tone of these Gibsons is really great and suit the ES very well.

Those pre-Shaws sound very good, IMO, especially in the neck position.
