Possibly MIJ? if it is, it's not one of their best.
Still, some new strings, a couple knobs and I'll be playing it.
The neck fits my hand better than my E series MIJ Fender P bass.

I had a Matsumoku made Gneco "tele" that had that many pieces of wood for the neck...I kept it less than an hour before sending it back to the seller...it was without a doubt the worst MIJ guitar I have ever seen. Unlike what some sellers may say, not everything they made was very good let along great. In my experience...and only speak for guitars I have actually seen with my own eyes not stuff pictured on the web...the sunbursts that cover the cutaway like that, were plywood. Is that one?

Maybe Matsumoku huh?
Not plywood, solid wood of some kind.
The neck itself is 3 equal pieces and the headstock has extra wings on it.
All in all I'd call it good. Not great but not horrible either.
Pickups sound good and it plays nice, stays in tune well. A keeper.
I bought it local for very little as a replacement for my P bass that I'm fixing to sell.
