TOKAI CAT'S EYES CE-120T 1991年製 ハンドメイ... - ヤフオク!

TOKAI CAT'S EYES CE-120T Handmade all-single plate high-end class (1939 000-42 MARTIN 000-42 type) Made in 1991 Comes with a restored guitar and case.

Tokai instrument handmade CE000 series Cat's Eyes CE-120T.

The specs are ALL veneers, herringbone torch inlays (deleted), fingerboard snowflake inlays, long saddle scallop bracing, and vintage 000-42 copies.

Initially, I wrote it as 000-28 type, but I felt that the atmosphere was different from 000-28 because the fingerboard has a binding, so it looks like the 1939 Martin that Eric Clapton used in Unplugged in 1992. I think 000-42 is closer. If you search for 000-42, there are many types with binding around the head, and the type without binding on the head comes out in 1939.

As expected, the binding on the top side is not Avalon's luxurious one, but other than that, it is the same.

Please search by Eric Clapton unplugged guitar. This is the guitar playing on the album jacket.
Also search for 1939 000-42 and you will see vintage guitars.

In addition, the degree of copying is considerable because it receives technology from Martin.

It's a really rare guitar.

The serial number of CATS around this time was not well known, and the CE series was restarted around 1991. Although this model is listed in the 1993 catalog, it is no longer listed in the 1994 catalog.

By the way, the 000-18 type, which is one grade lower than the 1993 CE100T, was sold at the shop for 99,900 yen. This has been sold.

At this point, you can see that it is quite rare.

This guitar is sold at a low price without knowing that it is a high-end guitar (120 is misunderstood as a list price of 12,000 yen), but those who buy it are lucky.

However, I don't think it's very good because there aren't many of them and there aren't many of them.

As a thing, I think that it is a successor model equivalent to TOKAI CAT'S EYES CE-1200T in the 80's.

First of all, it is the repair history part, but you can check it with 9th and 10th in the image. The previous owner hit the back of the body on the corner of the object and it has been repaired. I also checked the inside of the body, but the adhesive was perfect and it was repaired beautifully. It has been repaired so beautifully that you can't tell unless you look closely at the surface. With this restoration, the body back surface is probably repainted with lacquer.

Also, although it is not a repair, the head decal has been removed and lacquered. (With crack)

If you put the original decal on it, you won't be able to tell the difference. smile

It has been more than 30 years since it was manufactured, so it is classified as a vintage item, so there are deterioration of the paint, small scratches, and scratches.

Although it is 30 years old, the neck is almost straight and the string height is set low, and the sound is close to a vintage 000-42 that is different from a new one.

The back of the head has a KAWASE guarantee seal and a KAWASE hard case.

Is the pickup a MARTIN THINLINE 332? It seems that it is, but I was able to confirm the sound output properly.

There is a history of restoration, but domestic vintage items, especially CAT'S EYES acoustic guitars, have many cracks and cracks on the top and back like the original, so I think that there are many things that are exhibited without being repaired, but they are not repaired. I think it's cheaper to buy a repaired one that can be played immediately than to buy it.

Of course, there are people who do not like repair history, so please make a successful bid only for those who are convinced based on the above.

I own the head family, but I feel that CAT'S EYES is easier to play. The neck is easier to grip than the original, and the body is thinner than the D type, so I think it's easier for women to play.

In addition, the recent head family 000-28 almost always requires expensive repairs that cause neck problems. For that reason, there are many things that are exhibited at auction as junk in the state of neck origin.

After a successful bid is no claim no return.
