did anyone see that 1981Greco EGF-1800 on Yahoo Japan that SOLD for 1,091,000 yen? Wowza

That is $9,741 USD at current conversion rate. Someone got some deep pockets.

last LS-200 I saw on YJ sold on Feb. 22 for 898,000 yen but it had only 1 bid where as the EGF-1800 is showing as 135 bids.
Interesting to note the extreme variation of interest between the two examples and also the 193K ending price difference.
maybe a matched set of Dry Zs are really the difference in price point; dunno?

The 1980 Tokai LS-200 was a 24hr auction..... so some folks may have missed that. I do believe the DRY-Z's have an impact on Greco pricing, that's for sure.

OK, thanks for that info as I was not aware the LS-200 was a 24 hour auction.
I can certainly understand how that may have had an impact bidding.
Totally agree with you on the Dry Z potential to affect Greco pricing.
The maple top on both guitars are fantastic examples.
