I've been looking at that Tokai because I want an explrore and '82 is my birth year, but I'm not sure, most of the ones I've seen are under £1000, I'm about the buy the same model from 1984 for £600 in black from Tokai Finland. I guess the tobacco sunburst makes it a rare, more expensive model...

I was searching and found a EX-70 from 2007, listed as mahogany. They also had this pic amongst the images, so there may be hope it is mahogany explorer, and that the EX70 model did exist

I found a Tokai Explorer from 2006 that says made in Japan on it. Does anyone know the model of this guitar? Did they only have EX-50 available in 2005 with the agathis body? I would have thought MIJ Explorers would be mahogany. There is no info on these guitars, so no one seems to know. Anyone...

I've seen some Tokai Superstrats that have a different logo, more script like and say Tokai Custom or something like that. How are the Tokai Superstrats? I know Fernandes the Function was pretty popular back in the day, but Tokai superstrats seem pretty rare among all the japanese made guitars...
