Tokai D-28e

Post by Paulkg » Sat Aug 15, 2015 8:51 am

Hi everyone! This is my first post here, I just bought my first Tokai guitar and I was hoping to find some info about it. It has a paper label in it that says it's a D-28e, but I can't find any info on that model designation. It's just like a CE-118 as far as I can tell, but with a short saddle. It is all solid wood, has Gotoh vintage tuners and scalloped bracing. Can anyone shed light on this?

Obviously D28e is a Martin reference. Do you know if the guitar was sold in Norway/Europe? Could be a licensed model.

If it is solid wood (and not a well-disguised laminate) and made in Japan, it should be a higher-end model.
