Wanted: Online shop for new Tokai directly from Japan

Hey,

I own a cherry Tokai ES-120 that I bought from www.apollonmusic.com in Japan a few years ago. I love it and now I want a Tokai TJ-60 but it seems Apollon does not feature Tokai guitars any more. Also, they are apparently gone from Ishibashi.co.jp too.

Does anybody know a good Japanese online shop that export Tokais to Europe?

(I am new to this Forum but an old Tokai fan. My first guitar was a TST55 strat in lake placid blue metallic that I bought used in 1985. Regrettably I sold it in 1995 to get a 1969 Fender Mustang...I have also owned two 80's sunburst Hard Puncher basses and currently own an 80's Hard Puncher in Candy Apple Red)

I've ordered from Hisashi and was delighted with the service. However, I was ordering a higher end guitar not normally distributed outside Japan and so, by the time freight and customs charges were added, it still worked out as a good buy. With the lower priced guitars the economics might not be so good.

There is a bargain out there at the moment - from Coda from whom I've also bought in the past with good service.

There are not MANY japanese shops that sells to overseas but I think this one will do too:

Thanks for the link Yes, since Ishibashi stopped dealing with Tokai it is quite complicated to order from Japan.

as for the tokai.uk, you should be aware that they will have the wrong headstock.

I knew this but the pound currency is worse problem than the headstock :lol: it's always strong.

Toshi is a highly regarded seller to me and he sells good guitars only,just check his stock and will notice it.

Yoshi (Universe guitarshop) is also regarded.

It?s right UK pound is very strong for us spanish people, and a not correct headstock is not very attractive.

What a pity of guitar, some shipping companies are a pain. Hope you receive a new guitar soon!
