I'm open to suggestions on a good choice. I'd like to get a Strat guitar with a few features:

-made in japan
-regular (brown) sunburst
-from the '80-'85 time period :)
-maple or rosewood fingerboard, both are ok

I thought I wanted a Fender JV, but apparently the prices have gone insane. So maybe a Greco or Tokai or something else would be a good value with the nice aged look. I"m not real familar on what the preferred models are.

Thanks for your help!

notice ur nick, u like bikes..me too... :)

Good day!

Also look for the japanese Fernandes and ESP strat replicas (80's and early 90's). They are often a lot cheaper than Tokai and Greco for example but are also excellent guitars. Look for the vintage replicas with Kluson type tuners.

Ask this guy (me), he might help you out with something MIJ, older, and at a reasonable price point :)
