There was a lot of confusion over the exact model and the seller couldnt say for certain if the headstock angle was 18 or 14 degrees, or whether it was a nitro finish or not. The lack of fret edge binding does suggest it's a lower-end model though.

For an LS50 it was overpriced, IF it was an 80 it was a bargain, but I don't think it was.

Was there differences between the love rocks? My 1984 TLS-50 gold top is supposed to be a 1958 replica according to the catalog and the headstock definitely has a 17-18 degree angle, I've measured that. Wasn't the 14 degree headstock angle used on newer Gibson models (not in the 50's)?

I did some research: The original headstock angle was 17 degrees. When Gibson reintroduced the Les Paul in 1968 they had changed the angle to 14 degrees.
