Thanks for listing the specs, Joe. :p

Just for information, based only on this one LS-320 (that started this thread):

I'm not sure they are long-shaft pots. But then, I don't intend to remove one in order to find out.

The caps were Sprague "black beauty" 0.033 x 200 vt. I replaced them with some Vit-Q's, only because I prefer a "sharper" value for roll-off - 0.015 on the neck p/up, and 0.022 on the bridge p/up.

Finally, this lacquer finish - on the neck and back - feels more like the 60's Gibson lacquer than what is on the spalted-top Tokai custom I got from Togps arond the first of the year. That guitar is, I believe, based on the LS-230/LS-250. I can't begin to tell you what the difference is, but, I can feel it.

I want one of those Lemon drops with hon/braz!

I thought all higher models 320, 380, 470... only came in CR and VF. What's the trick? Are they special orders or are re-finished with yellow nitro?

I have had my 2000 LS-320 for well over a year now, and the VF finish is just too dark, as it covers up a lot of the grain & figure/flame.

If I keep it for the long haul I will refinish the VF top to a lighter color finish, possibly a lemon drop center with a slightly amber burst :)

I would like to see my LS-320 with a finish color like this old Greco I used to own :)

"love rock" ..........from 1995.................................................

INCREDIBLE guitar! Wow.....never seen one so nice. I've always been a lemon drop man but I'd take that beauty in a heartbeat. Is it one of Andrew's?

Hey! MIJvintage

You won't be the first  I was searching LS320 pictures and I saw plenty of re-finishes, most of them lighter bursts as a 1959 LP Standard should be after some years.

I came across this one before. It is quite odd that Tokai prototypes are better looking than the final versions
