Tokai LP jr TV yellow with a 6 digit SN: 051156

Thanks for the invitation to the forum.
I do have a question; researching the Tokai's provenance is difficult as a 6 digit serial number.
I wonder if anyone has info or tips about it?
I attached serial number photo.

These are Korean or Chinese. Jury is still out.

Probably unauthorized builds.

Note the closed "a" in Tokai.

And looks like a scarf joint at the base of the headstock.

That's a repair I did - major crack at the headstock - the fingerboard was holding neck together. My luthier friend helped me put it back together. Pretty nice guitar now. plays and sound good. P90 sound is ideal for slide. Whoever made it did a good job. cheers

Makes sense. Usually the scarf joints on these are a few inches lower down on the neck. Sounds like a bad break. Glad you rescued it. I bet it is a good blues guitar.
