I put these on the bay, but would rather sell them to a forum member. Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/320853523331?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649#ht_500wt_1193 PM me if you're interested.

According to your description, that they are made by DiMarzio?

To my knowledge, from studying the catalogue specifications, until my eyes went crosseyed, lol, they would be...
Pre 1982 Tokai E stamped pups are ST-A Tokai pickups, U stamped are ST-B
From 1982 onwards both E and U stamped pups are ST Vintage Tokai pickups.

1982 ST-100+ Springy would be VS-1 DiMarzio (part number DP-108)
1984 Goldstar ST-80+ would be VS-1 DiMarzio (part number DP-108)

I have not seen or known of a statement from Tokai that the E Stamped pups were made by DiMarzio, only reference is from DiMarzio themselves who stated that they are not, from a member who emailed them.

So much confusion with these E stamped pups, and it was really only because of wrong translation of the catalogues in the past, IMHO, no offense to anyone, sxxt happens, that's all.

I hope your sale goes well, thanks.

Thanks for the info, I have always believed they were VS-1 DiMarzios. They are, in my opinion, the best sounding strat pickup in a Tokai. My buddy actually removed the neck pickup in his 1962 Stratocaster and put in an "E" stamped Tokai.
