Silver Start CBS Strat.

What is the general concensus on the Silver Star CBS model Strat. Is it a good guitar? Are the Pre CBS models generally more sought after because they are better?

Just remember there are several SS models from SS36 to SS80(highest end) so different levels. I had the basic SS36 from '82 (bought used) and I got satisfied,the maple neck was really good and I got it cheap.Maybe the tremolo was the weak point on that....A friend of mine told me he tried that guitar against a CBS Fenda(thick ply finish,weight a ton and bad cut fretting) and altough mine had better fit and finish the other sounded better and I trust him.The difference in price between both was really high too.

In sumary: good guitars at reasonables prices ...by now.

Thats what I figured. There is one on Ebay that I bid on but I haven't matched the reserve yet and I'm not willing to go to much more.
