Thank's for good answer. I can see in the following link that my guitar above looks like the Tokai FLG-420S, but have a similar headstock to Tokai FLG-650S made in 1973.

But where can I find any information about the Tokai Dimarzio PAF replica pickups from the 70's? And how can I find out if the pickups in my guitar is made by Tokai and not another company?

The pickups are not DiMarzios. Old 70s DiMarzios have 3 small holes in each bobbin. http://forum.japanaxe.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=768&start=15

The pickups look like old 70s Maxon pickups to me and have a similar serial number stamp like the Greco 70s Maxon pickups.

I think this is where the plywood stuff started http://www.vguitar.com/features/brands/details.asp?AID=1135

Maybe they mean pancaked body instead of plywood body and it seems like there were other guitar factories making the Sigmas besides Tokai.

Okay, thank's.

I have read about the Maxon pickups, but I can not find any way to date the pickups based on the serial number. On my pickups the number is 291113 on both pickups.

On this page they say that the Maxon pickups have 5 numbers up to 1977, and after that they used 6 numbers.

I also wonder what Gibson model my guitar is a copy of. Is it a Les Paul Standard? It look a bit slim to be a Custom.

Maxon is only a guess. The pickups are Japanese and could have been made by other Japanese companies like Gotoh etc.

The early and mid 70s Japanese copies are not that exact. They became more exact after the mid 70s. I'd say your Sigma is basically based on a Gibson custom.
