1984 was a bit of a transitional period, so never say never on these.

1984 catalog shows that these were all laminate tops up to TLS150, except the TLS50 which had a 2 piece maple top and 3 piece mahogany back.

But generally up until 1984,

LS50 had a multi piece top, typically 3 pieces, multi piece mahogany back, poly finish
LS60 was a 2 piece top, multi piece mahogany back, poly finish
LS80 was 2 piece top, 1 piece mahogany back, nitro finish and fret edge bindings

I would check for seams in the back first using a flashlight, and let us know what you find.

Those look a lot like the pickups that the LS60 had starting in 1982...

Do the pickups say anything on the back? Any markings in the cavities?
