Hi there,
Been looking for a good SG for some time and just pushed PAY for this one. Supposed to be a older Burny SG (70-80). Since the bell plate is not vintage correct I guess older than 70's but I'm not sure.
Long neck tenon, VH3 pickups, pearloid inlays nickel hardware.
Neck is supposed to be very fat. Feather weight 6.5 lbs

Does this look legit? You have any more info? Looks like the one MIJVintage has.

Johan, You did well on that one. It appears bone stock in every way.
Long neck tenon on an SG is not all that common. I have seen plenty that were not made with that feature. Nice score!

Thanks everyone! The seller said late 70's to early 80's.
Are the mid 90's SG's any good? Better or worse than 80's?

I'd put my money on that being and early 90s model. Early 80s models should have VH-1 p'ups.

I think which year is better is a common point of debate. The older models are favored by most but I think you could get a dog from any era.

Excluding some FLG very late 70's and RLG 120 and above very early 80's Burnys(rare guitars and very scarce)are not nitro finish.....

You better watch what you call 'RARE' around here or you might get in a debate with some folks over semantics, what is rare, and what isn't rare  or maybe we should just have Ned ban the word from the forum

rare is what you never see on ebay....

"A very rare and desirable SG, produced for only 2 years by Greco at Fuji-gen, the Super Real series are the most highly regarded of all the Japanese replica guitars."

I don't believe you...................................
