what year is this? it has an "rst 88" stamp at the part of the neck that attaches to the neck pocket...does that automatically mean its an rst88?

- 2 piece alder body
- has a huge "F" inside one of the PU cavities
- neck plate has fernandes engraved
- saddles has both revival and FSRG engraved
- ceramic PUs
- looks like a '62 copy

help please...like what year, etc...

Hi, i have heard of early revival RST50 and RST80, I have owned both in the past, an RST50-64 and an RST80-54, both very nice.
But a RST88? I have heard of a RST-85 and that is a very nice looking guitar, I think that model is recent.
The RST50 and RST80 i owned were both early 80's

Yup. It has a stamp "RST 88"...I hope someone can verify that such stamps equals the model.

Your ex-RST 50 and 80, how were you able to tell that these were the models you have?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Quite easily, I have followed Fernandes since 1991, a friend of mine had a Fernandes Les Paul model at the time.
And by using this helpful link

http://www006.upp.so-net.ne.jp/guitarcrazy/page06-01.htm

Both of mine had all the features listed for model 50-64 and 80-54

It's in Japanese so use a translator if u need it.

i stand corrected.

it's a three piece alder body, not two.

The finish is very excellently done, its hard to spot the "lines". I initially thought it was a one piece alder body.
