Need help from the Tokai experts...
My partner bought me a gift on a her recent trip to Tokyo - a Tokai Love Rock LS60 MIJ 1980s made ( as claimed by the seller in Tokyo).
It did not come with any cert of authenticity or such with it.Also unsure what the specs are? body type, pickup specs, etc...
The serial number stamped in black ink ( 0101378) and not impressed on the wood.
I've gone through the Tokai Registry website and came across this "The only known exception is that the numbers are sometimes found stamped in black ink (ie NOT impressed into the wood). These inked numbers have been the subject of ongoing debate, however, it now appears they are mainly from 1980 & 1981"
Does this mean that the guitar is really 1980s made?
Also can someone help me with the specs? Like the pick up model? body wood type? or any other information?
Here are some pics
It needs some adjustments as the low E string buzzez at some points on the fret and some crackling sounds (almost unnoticable though) when adjusting the tone knobs...Any idea how to get rid of this?
How much does this cost on the market nowadays?
Many thanks!
