Gibson Flying V 1967 Historic Custom Shop

Thought i'd share a couple of snaps of a guitar i've just bought. I'm a Wishbone Ash nut case and just had to get an Andy Powell Vibe guitar....

I saw one of these custom shop instruments on EBy about 7 years ago....i was a student and skint and vowed to never let one go if i saw one....

It arrives Monday!! Can't wait.

No, i don't mind saying really. I got it for ?1,600.
It's a 2007 model. A guy got a couple on custom order and held them as a bit of an investment type thing.

They are now discontinued in the UK. I remember them being up on music123.com a few years ago for c$3500-4000. When i saw a cherry one on EBay UK about 7 years ago i think it went for around ?1500-1600.

Looking forward to checking it out and making sure it all rocks. When it comes to a tasty Flying V i'm afraid i lose all sense of composure.

Oh, and before anyone asks, i did try to see if i could custom order the exact same thing from Tokai Japan.

Apparently they haven't heard any of my hit records!!! :wink:
