Last of my MIJ guitars to go is my Mint Tokai LS160S (1956 reissue).
Fantastic guitar in mint condition. I just prefer humbuckers to p90s. Annoyingly its the best made Les Paul I've ever played - OK i can't honestly say it was better than the pearly gates reissue but its close. This and my Orville (just sold) are going to be replaced by a Gibson 58 reissue.
I've compared it with a Gibson 56 reissue at a local store and this is hands-down the best sounding and playing of the two. I've not touched it set-up wise. Its guitars like these that makes people swear by Tokai MIJ as far 'better than what Gibson's putting out.' I'm not big into that view myself as i think Gibson gets far too hard a time. If you dont mind the name on the headstock and have more sense than money then there's only one choice.
Lovely dark fretboard, comfortable medium sized neck and nice weight. It comes with its tokai hard case.
There are a handful of youtube video's of this model a quick search will dig out.
