Hi guys
May I ask you for a little help with dating this one?
I have a Tokai Jazz sound Electric bass, Oldies but Goldies, with an old style head stock (round and 7okai), fretless with white inlaid fretlines, the neck is flamed maple in a yellowish glossy finish, the body is three tone sunburst, the body seems to be made of two pieces of wood with little grain, the passive electronics include two jazz pickups,three potis, one tone, one volume for each pickup, but somehow you can only have one or the other pickup activated, both pickups full on don't make any sound at all... I haven't got a clue where the original buyer got the bass from, I got it in Switzerland, but the previous owner was from Poland, so who knows... the scratchplate has been removed, so it looks a wee bit like a Jaco Fender Jazz bass. Now I just need to play it adequately...
Last but not least the number on the metal plate of the neck joint: L01073
