When I talk about replacing pots I mean just the hat, not the whole pot, it is just some esthetic customization
I always liked to mod my guitars, I like black top hat pots with silver inserts. Do you mean I have to repleace the whole pot?
The pots have metric knurling, so if you replace the knob you'll need a metric knob.
Is this the same story with bridges and tailpieces? ie, you need metric bridge/tailpiece/pickup rings etc etc?

Paladin2019 said:The screw threads and posts are metric so you need metric bridges, metric bridge posts, metric tailpiece posts and metric tailpiece inserts. However, tailpieces themselves are standard.
ganzua said:Is every single screw of these guitars metric? Is there any problem when replacing pick ups or with the screws of tuners as well?
Paladin2019 said:Pickups are standard, wood screws don't matter either way.

Toggle Switch -> ?
*** Gibson uses a washer insert on their models. You can use a Switchcraft USA switch on tokais, but it has to be the long threaded version. Allparts part EP 000 67, I think (from memory). Switchcaft make the best switches, it's a good idea to install these as standard.
Switchwaser -> ?
***This is glued on so it makes no difference - you're stuck with it unless you want to risk damaging the finish. A gibson one probably wouldn't fit anyway as they have a wide hole to accomodate their switch washer inserts.
Jack Plate -> ?
***Unsure, but probably makes no difference.
Strap Buttons-> presume the screw must be metric
Truss Rod Cover-> same as above
***Makes no difference. However, Gibson truss rod covers won't fit modern tokais unless you fill and re-drill one of the holes.
How many changes are you planning to make?
I replaced the original gold tophat knobs with Allparts one - again, no problem pushing the new stuff on.
