Oops, looks like I have opened a new topic by mistake.
Thanks for that info guys, I have just had the neck off again and the code (11=6)is on the heel of the neck, so I guess that the whole thing is genuine (ish?).
I am falling over guitars in my house, I've worked in a couple of Guitar shops in the past and I'm a sucker for a nicely waisted body.
I haven't smashed any of my gear intentionally, but I have broken off the headstock :evil: twice on my '75 Les Paul Deluxe gold top, (which I bought for ?250 n 1980, when the world loved synths, clowns)
