Bits for a Springy Sound, ST50??

Hi guys, I was at my local auction room yesterday and bought (they almost gave it away actually) an '83 Springy Sound, possibly a ST50, maple fingerboard, metalic blue, U marked PUPs, block logo and 5 digit serial no. on the neck plate, the previous owner has replaced the machine-heads with nasty bits of tat, so if anyone has a decent set of 'Deluxe or 'Tokai' machines for sale let me know (I'm in the U.K.).
If anyone can add info about what it is if I've I.D. it incorrectly I'd be delighted for any input.
