Gibbons looks like Charlton Heston with a huge beard and sunglasses LOL.

Chuck could never get away with a hat like that. And he'd be too busy holding a gun to pick up a guitar.

If that's the case, we'd all be buying them instead of bagging on them

One mean sounding Tokai and imo sounds as good or better than his Pearly. But then again, the Rev Billy G could string a broom handle and still sound good!

I've posted this before and just love watching it. Here's a little blues lesson from Billy:

...i keep going back to that little blues lesson too.....

seems quite simple at first...but there's so much subtlety in there...

not a wasted note in there....great stuff .....

i'd never seen the Billy G/ Tokai clip either ...can't wait to send it to my

Gibbo loving pals.....

Ps if i was Billy i'd have a headstock that said "Gibbons".....surely it must have occurred to him !!!!

Kinda reminiscent of the Fandango days nothing but great raw energy with no special effects or the likes covering things up.

Yeah, I agree. I like their earlier stripped down stuff better than the highly produced, techno flavored stuff - although, some of it too is very good - like on Eliminator.

Here's a nice little interview with the man and what is purported to be the true story of the origin of their name:
