We don't get many of the clone makers here in the US. This guitar looks eerily familiar , as in a Tokai? Looks like a carbon copy and even the model # is sort of the same.

Thinking of springing for another V, I admit!!!

This is not Tokai. This is Grass Root G-FV-58 Black. Grass Roots guitars are made by ESP for Japanese market. They sometimes available in some Eastern Europe countries and Russia. This is entry/middle level guitars, very well made. Grass Roots guitars are made in Korea, Indonesia and China.

ESP sounds pretty good to me. These look solid. Oh well, I probably couldn't get a dealer here in the USA, anyway. I'll keep a lookout for older Tokai V's and LP's on EBay. That's what I really want, now! Thanks for the info and Happy New Year! 8)

Thanks. Happy New Year too. Grass Roots brand name is LTD equivalent for Japanese market.
