I like the soft V necks. The ST80R had a soft V neck.
What model is that other one?
Yeah that’s the one. It’s on facebook near meOh yeah. That is the one from 1987/88/89 that has had some funky stuff done to it.
1985? Tokai Goldstar

Picture of the switch code.Probably worth a third of the one you got. All sorts of issues.
It's a players guitar. I am sure it sounds good and plays well though.
Just doesn't have the same value as the one in this thread.
The one you got is a collectible guitar and should only increase in value. Not many unaltered Springys around.
Yes it is. It just arrived today. I put new strings on and played it for awhile. Completely different sound than my Mexican strat unplugged. The springy is just that, more alive. Plugged into my delta blues it really sings. What a great Strat. The only issue may be the neck radius. I’ve been playing a 9.5 radius for 20 years , but so far it feels pretty good. The neck feels really good in my hand though. That's off the February 1982 Springy.
December 1981 switch code. Super cool.
It is a u shape. I do like it. I’ve had Clapton strats and a couple Martin d18v and I couldn’t get used to the v neck. The ST50 has a U neck I believe? Some people love that.
