[SOLD locally] 1978 Red Greco SA 900

Lovely guitar. Many of these early Greco ES-types have the binding rot problem but fortunately it doesn't affect the sound or the playability of the instrument in any way. Good luck with the sale!

FS: (EU/Finland) Greco Mint Collection Les Paul MIJ LEFTY

Thanks, Marcus. One would think there'd be (at least) one left-handed bugger under the European sun searching for a nice single cut but there's just this...this silence....surrounding me....and this sorry little advertisement of mine. Oh bollocks.

FS: (EU/Finland) Greco Mint Collection Les Paul MIJ LEFTY

Hello! For sale here is an excellent Greco Mint Collection Les Paul. This nice plain-top Cherry Burst was made at the Fujigen plant in Japan in 1990. The one-piece mahogany neck is 50s type, I think, not the slim taper style. I have leveled and polished the frets and there's still lots of life...

    1979 Breezysound

Yes, Peter Mac seems to be right about the swapped neck. I would still love to hear your thoughts about the red neck. Have any of you ever seen one of those before? What is the model of the guitar to have that kind of neck? Can't find one in the catalogs. ??? An Ibanez RS155 that is currently...

    1979 Breezysound

I finally got some work done on this. I put in a new truss rod nut as the original one was shot, installed a working TEB bridge pickup as the original was shot, dressed the frets as they were also shot, and now she's a player. Very nice guitar with a very stable neck that you can count on. Never...

    1979 Breezysound

Thanks for your reply, Peter. Well, the plot thickens, as they say :) We now have a quite clear consensus that this Breezy is not from 1979 but 1981/82. The reasoning is mainly based on the fact that Tokai didn't offer bound bodies before 1981. Peter suggests that the body and the neck may not...

    1979 Breezysound

Thanks again Reborn and Barks. Is this red neck something you see once in a while or is it the first for you too? Anyone know which guitar the neckplate might have come off???

FS: ESP Japan Custom Bass LEFTY!!! (EU/Finland)

Selling a unique ESP Japan Precision/Jazz bass. The bass is from the same era as the famous 400/800 series basses and guitars and it is a very high-quality instrument with fabulous two-piece book-matched northern ash body and Bartolini P/J pickups. The neck is straight as an arrow and the string...

    SS500 (SG Special) owners?

My first Greco ever was a lefty SS500 from 1979. It's a humbucker guitar, sandwich body, thick and wide neck, just awesome.

Lefty Grecos.. Myth, Reality or just extremely rare???

Hello fellow lefty! :) Greco semi-acoustics do exist. I have seen three in total, two with 1979-only Greco headstock and one with Gibson open book headstock. The Gibson-headed one was for sale in a little guitar shop in Stockholm a few years ago. I was just starting with my collection and was...

    1979 Breezysound

Ok, thanks for the information, Felix and Reborn. I have now taken some cavity shots as per request. The only other code I can find is in the control cavity, the neck pocket and the heel of the neck are blank. The control cavity code reads '4=6WR____Z' I have learned that WR stands for Wine...

    1979 Breezysound

The nut was gone, but fortunately I got it out by drilling a hole in the middle, tapping a some-size torx bit in it and gently turning. Forum member Slopic 2 posted this picture a while ago. The original nut is a horrid pot metal piece. No wonder they break.
