Tokai Tube-5 | New Tokai valve amp

Bought one of these at the north west guitar show this morning and used it at band practice this afternoon. Great little amp, I really like it. Used on the clean channel with a fulltone OCD for dirt gave great tones. Highly recommended, I'd say it's a sweeter sound than the Blackstar HT5.

FS - RG43 type Rock in better Rick copy fireglo - SOLD

Hi I've got a fireglo RG43 type guitar made by you know who that I need to sell on. Bought new last year, professionally set up by a local luthier who also changed the machine heads for better quality ones. No country of origin, I would guess it's Chinese. Certainly not claiming it's a Tokai...

That's a great looking ES100R, quite a different shade to mine. How do you rate the magnatone amp?

What a beauty. I have a two p90 version, took it out and gave it a good 2 hour session yesterday, wonderful slim fast neck and those pups sound great through my ac30.

Tokai purchasing advice please! LS85F MIJ

What it's worth is always a tricky one - it's a personal thing, what are you willing to pay for that guitar? Personally I'd say yes, it's worth it. They are great guitars.

    Meet my ES100R

I've never played or heard a J version, would be very interesting to compare the two pick up outputs/tones - I must find one somewhere! They really did make them well - what a neck.

    Meet my ES100R

Hi all, thought I'd share my lovely 1981 ES100R with you (virtually anyway). I've had this fabulous guitar since 1983, bought new in a sale from A1 music in Manchester. The first electric guitar I owned and I didn't buy another for over 15 years - didn't see the need! I've had to replace the...

Pics of my Candy Apple Red Goldie

Hi there - yeah I love my 1963 triumph reverb, about 15 w, pure class A with a lush tremelo and nice spring reverb. Fabulous overdrive and 3 elliptical speakers, sounds amazing and unique. I picked it up for a song in the early 80s, didn't look like it had ever been used as it still had the...

Replacement pick up rings for Love Rock?

Hey Luis, thanks for the reply. I found another thread on this matter that found gibson classic ones fit well. I've ordered a set so we'll see, pricey though!

In defence of candy apple red and maple necks, my TTE 50 has that combination and looks pretty fine to me!

Pics of my Candy Apple Red Goldie

I was in a band in early 80s where the guitarist had a schecter, great playing guitar! My 81 ES100 is easily as good as any gibson 335 I've laid my hands on and better than most - early 80s tokai's are the business. That's candy apple red to me too, excellent colour for a strat

Tokai Firebird with 3 pickups - Any info?

It's an FB45, these were available with 1, 2 or 3 pups - see www.tokai-guitars.co.uk/index.php and go to retro models then select FB45. Made in Korea, I'm not sure how many years these have been available for - no serial number anywhere? What's it like to play and how do the pups sound? I love...
