I only took em because they don't seem to show up too often on ebay, but having known the seller personally, that swung it for me. Having said that, I know he has had more than one Tokai, and that fact alone makes me wonder...'just a little bit! :) They will suffice until I actually buy a Tokai...

He says they were taken from his 99 MIJ, but to be honest, Mike (the seller) buys and sells so many guitars and spare parts, he could easily get his facts mixed up about something like the exact specs of a pickup. That's what bother me really! :) I trust him, but he 'could' get it way wrong! G

Just says 'made in japan' on the ones in the photo, so hopefully they will be MK2 or MK3. So the Chinese pups used to be Korean? My god, does Tokai re-write their rule-book every year? They seem to go out of their way to complicate things so much. G

But aren't the MK4s only on the Chinese Tokais? G

I hate to say this, but 'that' would annoy me. :( I'm not usually a snob about guitars, but I'd want my Tokai to look like a Gibson as well as play and sound like one. Thanks for the pics! Nice guitars there!

My gawd! Is that what they do? How on earth are we supposed to keep track of older models when they keep changing the numbers?

What exactly is this 'dimple/pimple'? Is there a photo of it anywhere? I can't say I see any difference between the JP and the Richtone ones. :)

Last question for tonight.....:) Which models (new) will have nitro finish? I saw in mylespaul forum where someone said only the LS 150s and above have nitro, yet some sellers say the lower numbered models are nitro. How can I tell before I buy (online)? Is there a list of models finished in nitro?

Does the colour of the guitar in the video look familiar? Is it a sunburst like AV or Cherry?
