Just one of the tips I've picked up from all the collective wisdom here, get a UV security pen thing they usually come with a small torch to read the invisibe ink, you can use the black light to determine what varnish it is. Very nice looking guitar.

As you're in UK try screwfix, or if you're near a market any good hardware stall (or shop) will be able to sort you out with a good screw. Knew someone would eventually slip. Maybe try one of the better guitar shops one that deals second hand you never know what they have lying about.

Hmm in todays market it realy could be up to the buyer to dictate the price. I paid ?100 for my custom edition but that was a long time ago (15 years) try looking at similar guitars in 2nd hand shops.

Not 100% sure what wood is used, guessing by the weight, alder also its a very blonde wood (where I knocked the paint off) a shade or so lighter than the maple neck. There's a just visible seam on the back I'm guessing a 2 piece body but it feels very solid.

oooh that's nice, as most people know now I'm a bit of a fan of the custom editions. Definitely Jap made Ayers Rocker V on these models is standard most of the ones I've seen also have L. White pickups though, what do yours sound like? I would say you have a fine guitar there perfect for that...

Looks similar to my custom edition strat except mine has a Jackson style headstock and a single 'bucker at the bridge pix on this site. It looks good from what I can see not sure what a good price would be for you UK prices always seem inflated. Going on experience with my strat go for it.
