Thanks Sigmania for all the links to help decide - it just needs to be 55-56 mm width, black and Tokai, not really worried about period correct as it is a hybrid. I will need to check the neck code , dont recall seeing one but didnt specifically check. The body code is 12-1- SW - X for Snow...

Note the 56 mm routing distance for the trem compared to the 74 mm ayers recoker / floyd spacing hence the search for an extra Tokai trem or i have to cut the scratch plate or buy a new one. its a hybrid model anyway.

A story 15 years in the making! I saw a recent advert on marketplace for a Tokai pointy strat known as the JSD model, at a resonable price. i negotiated down to a better price with the knowledge it may not be all present and correct, generic floyd trem HSS set up etc. When I went to play and...

    My Old Tokai

Only thing I would add is that the 50 sticker indicates the price point of 50,000 yen, there may have been a 55 model with matching headstock but I'm more expert on the strats however I would have thought they had similar options. Note sure if there was a 40 or 60 model with lesser or better...

    1986 Tokai Strat Metallic red

There is a really nice 1986 TST 50 (at least) in Sam's Guitars in Chester (contact via Home - Sams Guitars). Very good condition with a few minor marks. It is one of the anomaly models where its a '57 model with the button string guide and maple neck but a three ply 11 hole scratch. We dont...

    Concorde Headstock Tokais

Point of note the Concorde guitar was the original napkin sketch that Randy Rhoads did with Grover Jackson of Charvel Guitars. This was the first guitar to have Jackson on the headstock. Randy wanted to improve fret accessibility and make the body more accessible so he ordered the first RR...

    Single-humbucker 1982 Silver Star

Hi, it isnt the same guitar as Stratman323 asked me to remove all his guitars from the book. I think this one was from a member in Leeds - in fact the members name is on the book page in every photo, just cant see original thread while posting this. Iain
