I?ve got an Edwards ?56 Gold Top with 2 P-90s.
The problem is that it doesn?t have a serial number. The newer Edwards all do have one.
Are there any other Edwards without serial numbers out there?
If yes, is there anything special on them? Which year have they been made?

All Edwards Les Paul are full solid.
There are no holes or chambers in it. My Edwards Goldtop has a very good weight - about 4kg. Without holes or other weight reliefing methods. Gibson Standards have about the same weight - with holes or chambers in them.

The center is made of crosscut mahogany. There?s no plywood on these ones.
There are further models with different body woods - but I think no one of these is made of plywood.
SEB means that the mahogany body has a crosscut mahogany middle.
The idea is that the vibrations shall get faster from top to bottom and backwards.

I like the MKIIs very much. They are quite good for stock PUs. I?ve got them in my ES120.
Of course that aren?t high end PUs but I wouldn?t replace them with SDs. Then I would prefer the MKIIs.
