It looks like a solid top but I'm not 100% sure.
In the right light you can see the wood grain of the pickup route continue up to the top surface. There is a very thin layer on top that looks to be be just the clear finish. Are there pics of a known veneer that I can look at and compare with?
1980 Tokai LS-120 "Les Paul"
Some nicks and dings but in great shape with very little play wear.
Neck very straight, 2 tuner shafts very slightly bent, work fine and hard to see. Almost no fret wear. I got this directly from Japan nearly 10 years ago...
Got this from ochay last year.
All original, very straight neck, one slightly bent tuner shaft.
Absolutely Killer.

hey guys,
according to what i've heard the catalog says for 1981, the ls120's came with dimarzio paf's.
i have one with a seymour duncan 59nl in the neck position and a seymour duncan 59bj in the bridge. solder joints look original. was this a possible option?
thanks,
-chris
hello, i'm new here but i'd was wondering if a sample was taken from the instrument at the beggining of the post? or was it not necessary based on the catalogues description?
