simply the neck pu route.

It looks like a solid top but I'm not 100% sure. In the right light you can see the wood grain of the pickup route continue up to the top surface. There is a very thin layer on top that looks to be be just the clear finish. Are there pics of a known veneer that I can look at and compare with?

1980 Tokai LS-120 "Les Paul" Some nicks and dings but in great shape with very little play wear. Neck very straight, 2 tuner shafts very slightly bent, work fine and hard to see. Almost no fret wear. I got this directly from Japan nearly 10 years ago...

wouldn't the serial number suggest its a love rock? i've seen love rock #'s as low as 98XX, this ones in the 10XXX range ....

it has the "120" sticker on the back of the headstock. i take it geting ahold of a 1981 catalog is near impossible ...? thanks for the info. -chris

hey guys, according to what i've heard the catalog says for 1981, the ls120's came with dimarzio paf's. i have one with a seymour duncan 59nl in the neck position and a seymour duncan 59bj in the bridge. solder joints look original. was this a possible option? thanks, -chris
