Love Rock with no serial number

Good knowledge Ian!! I've had it since new so I can confirm it was about '84 that I bought it. I've never seen another one but as soon as I post the pictures there's one for sale on e-bay!!

Love Rock with no serial number

To be honest it's cost less than the price of a new MIK LR and looks great, I'll let you know how it plays. as Ned has said as long as it sounds the businesss then love it for what it is.

Love Rock with no serial number

I reckon it's a MIK as the TRC is a three screw job. Sounds like I've been spun a bit of a line there. Never mind as my footnote says "Experience isn't.....etc". Hopefully Ned will get to post the pics of my tortoiseshell tele by the end of the weekend so whilst I've made a bit of a faux pas...

Love Rock with no serial number

Did the earlier Korean models have a beautiful quilted top? This one does. By the way I've just sent Ned some pics of my 84-ish breezysound with a tortoiseshell mahogany top which is a belter.

    Tortoiseshell mahogany breezy

Cheers Ned I've sent them but if they aren't of sufficiently high quality I'll try again. Whereabouts on the main site are the pics by the way? I can't find any pics but I wonder if the settings on my pc are restricting my options. Mick PS I've just bought another Tokai from eBay, may have...

    Tortoiseshell mahogany breezy

I've finally moved into the 21st century and have some pictures of my 84? Breezy in tortoiseshell mahogany. Do you want them, if so where do I send them? It's a beauty for a 20 year old geeeeetar

What's the deal with this. I'm thinking about buying a beautiful LR but it has no serial number. The guy says it was imported from Japan and may be a prototype. What do you reckon?

    Love Rocks / Springysounds

The vast majority of contributions on this board relate to either LR's or the strat-a-likes. As an owner of an 80's breezysound (half bound with a lovely tortoiseshell mahogany top) which I've had since new it surprises me that they rarley get a mention. Is it because: i) The vast majority...

    Elixir strings

Cheers vaporboy. I've just purchased a couple of sets on the net from Stringbusters and it was ?15 for both, delivered to the door the next day which is not massively expensive. I'll let you know what I think

    Elixir strings

Anybody tried these on their Tokai? Are they any good or does the Gore-Tex affect the tone

    Tokai Pots

I have a 84 breezysound which is very bright, apologies for my ignorance but how can you tell what the pot rating is? By the way I have read some implied and unjustified critiscism regarding the way this site is maintained. Compared to what we had a few years ago i.e. nothing, Ned is to be...

    Breezysound guitar top

Thanks James, you're a star. The guitar was advertised in the 85 catalogue (I'm sure I bought it before that, but maybe I'm wrong, and is a TTE60TM but mine has a maple rather than rosewood neck. The rather nice top I referred to is tortoiseshell mahogany, hence the TM suffix. Thanks again James
