    Canadian Fake/Bootleg Tokai's

I find it quite amusing that the "fakes" are of a much better quality than the real Korean Tokais. Gee, if only my fake guitar were plywood instead of mahogany. :P

New Tokai 335 copy, please help!

Is this the sort of thing you guys are talking about? http://cgi.ebay.ca/Dillion-Semi-Hollow-Electric-Guitar-with-Bigsby-Trem_W0QQitemZ110119399049QQihZ001QQcategoryZ2384QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I'm thinking about getting either one of these or maybe one of the nifty looking Dillion LP Jr. copies...

Copies of Les Paul Juniors / Melody Makers

Dillion sells a single P90 MIK junior. It's model number DLJR58. They're fairly easy to find on eBay and go for about $400 - 450. I've never seen one personally, but they are supposedly made in the same plant that made the MIK Tokais, so they're probably pretty decent for the money. The body is...

To buy or not to buy?

I found he was pretty good to deal with, although his communication habits are terrible. If you buy from him, don't expect any communication other than the guitar arriving at your door. In my case, I had to force the communication issue a bit because my guitar was over a week in arriving when...

To buy or not to buy?

I have one of those (metallic red, 2004 vintage) which I got from the same seller. I'm in Canada, as is he. My opinion is not overly valuable, because I'm just a hobby player with very limited skills, but I'm very happy with this guitar. I think it was a fantastic bargain for the price. It...

    fretboard radius of MIK teles

I thought about that, but there may be some other people wondering the same thing, and if he or somebody else answers here, we'll all know. :D

    fretboard radius of MIK teles

Anybody know what the fretboard radius is on the MIK teles, like for example that beautiful rosewood model JSD has for sale right now? Are the MIKs all the same, and are they the same as the MIJs? Thanks

    help identify this Tokai

Well, I've got a pair of Gibson pickups out of a mid 70s Les Paul sitting here unused. They're a 500T and a 496R. I wonder if they'd be a good match for a semi-hollow. The output is pretty high, especially out of the 500t.

    help identify this Tokai

I can believe that these Tokai 335s and the Washburn HB32 are the same guitar. They certainly look very similar, other than the Tokai having black hardware and the Washburn having "distressed" copper coloured hardware. Guitar_sales is selling both of them, incidentally. Back when I was in...

    help identify this Tokai

I read in another forum that these new Tokais, of which there seem to be quite a few on eBay lately, are made in China. Has anybody else heard this? I got a MIK Love Rock from Guitar_Sales earlier this summer and I have to say it's a fantastic guitar. I started playing again after 15 years away...
