OEM versions of 1989 VC-75 and VC-55 with different headstock shapes

So, in conclusion, can we safely assume - judging from the overall appearance, the specs, the build details, and the price range - that the 1989 MONARCH MG-11/CS is an OEM variant of the 1989 Tokai VC-75CS and it was made at the same production line? BTW never mind the misconception "28...

OEM versions of 1989 VC-75 and VC-55 with different headstock shapes

I got a lightning fast response from MONACOR, kudos to them! However, the only data they have is a 1989 catalog, see the scan below, and the list price. They couldn't tell me any production numbers or OEM contractor affiliations. My guitar is a MONARCH MG-11/CS and it had a price tag of DM...

It might also be the number 4 before the dash.

Let us suppose the "z" is actually the number 2, would "2-14" then point to February 14th? And what about the year? Does the truss rod and its access route look like Tokai production? The locking nut says "2-R". This reminds me of the original Floyd Rose designation "R2". Unfortunately...

OEM versions of 1989 VC-75 and VC-55 with different headstock shapes

Thanks for the feedback. It would be great to see gut shots from other VC-75 models for comparison. I will try to contact MONACOR next week. The previous owner of my guitar bought it many years ago from a professional used guitars dealer. He told him that the guitar was a one-off "messe model"...

OEM versions of 1989 VC-75 and VC-55 with different headstock shapes

Dear Tokai community, I am located in Germany and recently acquired a guitar that looks almost identical to the 1989 Tokai "Super Limited" VC-75 (Vivian Campbell signature) in Cherry Sunburst finish, with the exception of the headstock. All the major specs mentioned in the 1989 catalog check...
