    BST-64V???????

What are the differences between a BST-62V and 64V ? I have a used Bacchus, it was advertised as a BST-62 but looks very similar to the 2 in the above posts. The only difference I can see between mine and the ones posted above is the positioning of the scratchplate screws. The guitar has 3...

So I had my 1980 ST55N refinished, what do you guys think?

I think the refin is great too :D How hard is it to do the reverse - remove the paint from a guitar and make it natural looking? Is it a lot easier to do a refin like the one in this thread because it was a natural finish to begin with, or could the same thing have been done had the guitar...

    Vintage white ST50

I think this guitar has been available online for at least a year. I almost bought it as my first Tokai before I found this forum, and saw one here instead (thanks stratman323). I have seen this guitar on the Rakuten site, a japanese guitar store's site (forgot the name) and it is still...

Refret goldstar sound 1984 - worth it?

I would agree with this. I very recently sold a goldstar on ebay after I had it refretted but it did not increase the value at all IMO. I think if you put it on sale with a refret it you might get slightly more for the guitar, but nowhere near what it cost you for the work.

    A Tokai Book

Here is a link to some pictures of the goldie with the "Made In Japan By.." decal. http://www.flickr.com/photos/46160831@N08/sets/72157623035123767/detail/ Were there differences in goldies in US and Europe? Could it have something to do with that?

    A Tokai Book

One of my goldies has the first set of words. Does this mean the date of manufacture can be narrowed down to a particular year?

WTB: My first Springy / Goldstar

HI, I am looking for my first tokai strat. I am after an st50 or higher that if I really like I can eventually invest in a higher end one. I would prefer it to be beat up / knocked / chipped etc, I am definitely not looking for a mint guitar. I intend to use it regularly at gigs and don't want...

    tokai goldstar and springy sound

Hi, Please could you give me your opinions on these guitars, I like the look of them both but I think my main priority is value for money. The springy sound looks in good nick but will prob cost nearer 25-30% once tax and duties have been added...
