goldstar sound decals

Hi ive a goldstar sound guitar,oldies but goldies, which has the logo" made in japan by rock and roll fanatics" instead of the usual "quality musical instruments" etc
under the Tokai goldstar sound decal
were these quite common to a particular year /batch?
iv had the guitar since about 1985/6

That particular decal was used on the very early 83 Goldies .The whole decal is in three pieces and the rock and roll fanatics slogan is part of the decal left over from block logo Goldies and late Springys.Once Tokai had sorted out what they were doing with the Goldies a new one piece decal was applied with a new more confident slogan.Gabe.

thank you for your swift reply,i knew it was a year or so old when i bought it
its a 57? , originally 2 tone sunburst in nitro, but refinished in red about 20 yrs ago
grey backed pickups with an "e"on them and the saddles are branded tokai im lucky enough to know its history, and own it for over 20odd yrs

Would be surpised if nitro, as nitro was only used on st 80s and above.Unless yours was an st 80? Photos?Gabe.

i may be mistaken on the nitro,as it was a long time ago,
i just i seem to remember it crazing,and being easy to rub down to apply the new top coat
some of the old paint is still under the refinish
ill try to figure out how to post pics, and perhaps start a new thread
