From the 1982 catalog:

"A dream super guitar family. Tokai Limited Products

Limited Products

A limited edition full of super specs that continue to be produced in parallel with the regular model - one limited production model. These models, which are regularly produced by the Tokai Electric Guitar Project Team, are sold out immediately after their release, but due to the special circumstances of limited quantities, if there is a constant demand for purchases, they will be produced again as encore products. It is now possible. However, in this case, please note that special benefits such as special services will not be included. After receiving an order, it will be manufactured in 1 to 3 months. In the past, TE60 RR VS60 etc. have been encore products. I would like to continue to produce super quitars that reflect the times, which should be called super editions. Thank you for your support."

VS SENSATION

The VS & VSB series of transcendence to open up an unexperienced zone of sound. The shocking content that develops electric guitar & bass to a higher dimension is the fusion of sensibility and technology that only TOKAI PROJECT TEAM can achieve. Above all, the VS series provides a long-awaited humbucking sound, plus, and tremolo unit specifications for guitarists who are aiming for contemporary music. Joe Walsh also praised the proud versatile sound, and received a custom-made request based on this VS series. The beautiful form along with the transcendental sound invites the guitarist to a dream experience. In addition, the VSB series will shock the bassist, and its intellectual appearance is expected to have outstanding playability with a simple form that pursues the beauty and comfort of a super bass as much as possible. And the super specs born from contact with super musicians penetrate the walls of all genres.

These two series are proud works of prestige maker TOKAI, which are similar to objects of artists who changed history.

Limited release and shown in the spring 1982 catalog.

So far the production stamps on the two examples that I have seen (yours & mdvineng's) are 7=8. So July 1981 production?

Even more bizarre on mdvineng's bass, his was changed from spag to script logo...

SN 1015889.

If I were to speculate.... this was a limited release that may have been imported by Blue Suede in early 1982 to the UK and seized and later re-labeled. No way to know without the container's manifest. Or by talking with Eric Dixon.
