Not the typical Tokai type holes in the neck pocket.

Pickups and wiring look very Tokai though.

FERNANDES RST Unknown Strat, Stratocaster type

These vintage-style Limited Editions (as opposed to various superstratoids with same moniker) are kind of a breed of their own, out-of-catalog, found only in occasional store ads as ST-38, -40 and -45, and too far removed from the vintage originals to qualify for the The Revival moniker, apparently.

I've had a few of them, and did a write-up of them here. At least the bodies seem to be Matsumoku-made.

These seem to be US-export versions of contemporary Revivals, only with another headstock. A lot of the ones sold by Rudy's Music in NYC to various rockstars at the time have these appoinments. I guess the changed headstock shape disqualified them from the The Revival label.
Fernandes were actually pretty particular about that. For instance, their early 90s copy of Slash's luthier-made Appetlite Les Paul was LG-75GR, not RLG. Makes sense, since it's actually a copy of a copy. Or of a reproduction, which is what copies are called if they're really expensive.

Shaky Iphone 2ish video of one of the hooked Fernandes LE's owned and played by Robert Quine (yeah, the guy in my profile pic  ), one of several sold at the estate auction after he passed in 2002. Note the exotic John Suhr electronics.

Quine had a number of earlier Revivals as well, one was the main guitar used on The Blue Mask (1982). I would assume that that one had the Suhr mods as well, he was the tech at Rudy's Music at the time.
