Blank? You mean undrilled?

The problem I’ve had is the hole pattern on the Tokais are different than every replacement I’ve found. I’ve bought 4 or 5. American. Chinese. Etc. They are all slightly off so the screw heads aren’t flush and I don’t want to add more holes as it’s a special guitar.
 
Good tip. I need to get a drill press. Something I’ve been saying for 30 years. 8)
 
Masking tape on the surface and use an old fashion hand gear wheeled drill. Electric ones are too fast and can generate heat etc. Takes no time at all with a hand wound drill. Gently does it :wink:
