As far as I have seen an amp I am after for sale, I am offering this great guitar for sale, a very rare model and sough after as you all know.

It was converted to vintage 50's specs (upgrades) :
Brass ABR-1 studs and steel correct depth bushings and studs from Pigtail.
Gold aged aluminium Faber tailpiece and regular ABR-1
It has some DiMarzio PAF vintage set creme covers.
CTS 500K selected values set
Cornell Dubilier "Greenie" early 60s caps selected-
Refretted with vintage 59 correct size Sanko #213 frets by a professional luthier.

I will add a nylon 6/6 nut made fom Tom Bartlett material for free.
It cames with a 2010 black Tokai case.

Asked price: 1690 euro, a steal.

Nice guitar.

Were the tuners changed as well as the other stuff?

And is that paint loss near the pickup selector? Any other damage?

Hello Geoff.
Turners are Kluson wafflebacks but I do still, have original wafflebacks kept as original wiring plate from Tokai.
I also upgraded plastic, switch ring and jack plate with Loonie's ones (more accurate than Tokai).

Regards.

A really good vintage Tokai for sure and hard to find, colelctable no doubt.
Yes Cliff, as stated in the ad. I got some wire from Japan some time ago, the same Tokai uses or their guitars and used here. I also taook the guitar to a professional lutheir for a set-up recently and put ABR-1 aged by Faber.

1979. I asked Tokai and Peter Mac and theyboth comfirmed, in fact I was sent a COA signed I can provided with the sale.

Regards.

It is still in my possession Peter.
E-mail me, have some time no talking. I guess I can have something to add to your book (for free)....

Regards,
Luis.

Hi Luis, I tried to send you a PM but I'm a brand new member (have been a reader before and just registered to contact you), and so I think the message is stuck in my outbox. Please get in touch with me if it's still for sale.
Best regards,
Dom

Hola mi amigo,

I am wondering about the weight of this beauty.
I have a 1982 LC-60 BB but could be persuaded to let it go and buy this one.
The LC-60 is 4.2kg, has Gibson Burstbucker pups, VIP Centralab pots and Emerson PIO Bumblebee caps...and the 'Hearts & Diamond' headstock inlay.

Hasta lluego
Peter

Hello Peter!

The guitar weigths 4,2 kg. which is fair enough in my book. I also had a 1984 LC60 but this guitar had a lesser wiegth, I remember about 3,9 kg. Not sure if that one has a mahogany body or maybe a lighter and softer wood (tilo wood maybe?)-

Hope this helps,
Luis.
