Looks like it has a rosewood veneer fretboard and not a slab like other ST70s?

Also dots at 12th fret are closer together than ST70s I have seen. More like a 1963/64 model?

My 1981 ST70 for comparison.

The serial number is a little earlier than the other known ST70s which all seem to be 1024xxx.

It looks like an ST50/55 to me except for that sticker.

I wonder if it has U or E pickups?

Weird.... Even the ST55s have wider spaced 12th fret dots. Curious.

Good catch on those 12th fret dots 8)
That dot spacing looks like the spacing in the pics of the 1964 RARE MODEL ST 70 with the maple cap neck, from page 34 of the 1982 catalog.
I wonder if this is the only round lam rosewood board ST70 neck produced with this particular 12th fret dot spacing spacing?
That oval 70 sticker looks like it has been on that neck for decades.
I think it's legit but I have been wrong before.

Yeah, there is something about this guitar.... One for the Tokai museum perhaps? Like a puzzle piece. 8)

Still wondering which pickups it has in it?
