Hey guys.

Does anyone of you know what nut width the Greco SE500 1977-1978 Super Sounds had?
Was it 1-5/8″ (41.28mm), 1.65″ (41.91mm) or maybe even 1-11/16 (42.86mm)?
I know that the 41.91mm nut width was very popular during the 70's at Fender, but did Greco follow suit?
Thanks.

I currently have two '78 SE500s, one is 42.1 mm, the other just a shade under 43 mm. None of them are standard models, though, one's a 500PR Peter Frampton sig, the other a "Laox Original" store order guitar, but I've no idea if that makes a difference, to be honest. I've maybe 3-4 other late 70s SE500s through the years, but I haven't any records, sadly. My subjective experience is that few were narrower than 42 mm and few wider than 43 at that point. There also seems to be a tendency towards narrower necks in older guitars. The narrowest I've had was a 1976 SE800 (41,4 mm) and the widest 1980-82 SE450 and 700 (essentially the same guitars with different pickups) at abt 43,5 mm.
