I’ve wanted a RK Tele for a long time but now that I’m getting into Tokai stuff, I’m wondering how something like a TE80 would compare to it. Can anyone that has played both comment on how they compared to each other?
 
The defining characteristic of the RK is the neck:
Large deep U profile
Flattish radius fretboard
Jumbo railroad tie frets.

I’m not aware of anything else off the shelf from any T seller that comes close to this combination of features. I’d put it in the “try before you buy” category.

Warmoth or Musikraft et al could make you something just like it to add to any tele.

The pickups used in the RK are readily available and the wiring, while non-standard, is easily replicated.
